Anita R. Cato Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Higher Education
Anita Cato pursues her twin passions for science and teaching as an instructor at Tennessee State University
MADISON, TN, August 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anita R. Cato, Graduate Student Teacher and Ph.D. student at Tennessee State University, has been selected as a VIP member by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.
Ms. Cato pursues her twin passions for science and teaching in her work as a graduate student teacher at TSU. In her fourth year with the university, she is responsible for teaching graduate science courses, working in a laboratory and conducting research on the impact of environmental contaminents on MAP signal pathways in naural killer cells. She is gratified to have the opportunity to share her knowledge of biology with others, and attributes her success in this endeavor to hard work and the guidance she received from her parents.
An alumna of Meharry Medical College, Ms. Cato earned a Master of Science, with a specialty in molecular biology, in 2006. She plans to continue teaching biology at either the high school or college level.
