Julie A. Wood Honored for Excellence in Education Support Services
Julie Wood draws on previous business experience in her work for the University of Wisconsin-Madison
MADISON, WI, May 11, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Julie A. Wood, Program Coordinator for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in education support services.
With 20 years of experience in academia, Ms. Wood is considered an expert in curriculum development and educational technology. She lends her talents to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she is charged with planning events for educational programs and noncredit courses for entrepreneurs and business managers. Her responsibilities include ensuring the availability of materials, organizing venues, overseeing registration procedures, and interacting with students. A successful entrepreneur in her own right, Ms. Wood sold a business to an accounting firm and today continues to share her knowledge as a consultant.
Ms. Wood received a master's degree in curriculum and instruction, with a concentration in educational communications and technology, in 2007 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was a national presenter for the Association of Small Business Development Centers and a state presenter for the Wisconsin State Training Conference.
In the future, Ms. Wood intends to establish her own company and venture into product development.
