Cheryl C. Griffin celebrates 30 years in the teaching profession

HAMPTON, VA, May 6, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cheryl C. Griffin, Physical Education Teacher at Hampton City Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in physical education.

Named the Hampton Teacher of the Year by Aberdeen Elementary School and the Delta Woman of the Year by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Mrs. Griffin is a respected member of her community. For the past 30 years, she has remained dedicated to the field of education. Currently a physical education instructor for Hampton City Schools, she specializes in teaching students in kindergarten through the fifth grade.

Mrs. Griffin became involved in her profession due to her love of sports and attributes her success to her enjoyment of her work. The recipient of a bachelor's degree in health and physical education, she holds membership to the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Looking ahead, she intends to enter retirement and travel.
