Karen Nelson Named to Exclusive Membership Organization

DICKINSON, ND, August 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Karen Nelson of the State Historical Society of North Dakota, and Adjunct Instructor at Dickinson State University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.
Ms. Nelson has 12 years of overall professional experience. At her current post, she is responsible for coordinating with actors, ensuring proper rehearsals and availability of costumes, writing scripts, performing at live performances, making adaptations to the performance, and teaching speech and theater arts. She co-directed the Footsteps into Medora's Past Program, which was awarded the EdCom Award for Excellence in Programming by the American Association of Museums.
In 1963, Ms. Nelson received her Master's Degree in Speech and Theater from Bowling Green State University. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Theater in 1962 from Capital University, and is a member of the American Association of University Women. Additionally, she sits on the Theodore Roosevelt Symposium Committee at Dickinson State University.
The Museum of the State Historical Society of North Dakota collects, interprets, and preserves diverse items relating to North Dakota and her citizens.
