James V. Scariot, Sr., MA Receives Professional Networking Community's Highest Honor
James V. Scariot, Sr. Named Educational Administration Professional of the Year
SALINAS, CA, August 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James V. Scariot, Sr., Program Director for Heald College, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Educational Administration. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named professionals of the year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities.
A 23-year veteran of law enforcement, James V. Scariot, Sr. brings his expertise to Heald College, a regionally-accredited private career college specializing in healthcare, business, law and technology. He has been teaching at Heald since April 2007 and assumed his current position in January 2009. His responsibilities include overseeing student schedules, performing academic and issue advisement, and assisting high school students with obtaining their GEDs and pursuing further education. Proud to be affiliated with an institution that offers its graduates job placement assistance for life, Mr. Scariot also manages the job placement program for graduates and works in the business field to help students get internships.
Prior to joining the college, Mr. Scariot shared his law enforcement expertise as a teacher. He conducted classes on various topics, including CPR, child abuse, domestic violence, and narcotics. He attributes the success that he has enjoyed at various stages of his career to passion tempered by compassion.
Mr. Scariot received his master of arts in public administration, with honors, from Golden Gate University, his bachelor of science in business administration from San Jose State University, and his associate of arts in general studies, with honors, from Hartnell College. He serves as an advisor to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Beta Rho Upsilon Chapter at Heald College. He is also affiliated with the Knights of Columbus, Knights of the Rose, and the American Legion.
Heald College has been in existence for 145 years and operates 11 campuses across the Western United States.
