CAMBRIDGE, MA, August 12, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Ellie Okada, Academic Associate at Harvard University and Professor at Yokohama National University, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Strategic Management & Intellectual Property. With 22 years of experience in business and the academe, Dr. Ellie Okada is a respected authority on corporate growth strategies. She shares her knowledge as an academic associate at Harvard University and as a professor at Yokohama National University in her native Japan. Presently based in Boston, she focuses on overseeing corporate strategic management on innovative competency and intellectual property management in matured transnational companies. She also teaches Ph.D. candidates and is deeply involved in research involving transnational corporations and intellectual property. Dr. Okada became involved in her profession because of a fascination with the research and development policies of the United States and European countries. She has since become a fellow in a workshop dedicated to the study of multinational enterprises, and attributes her success to her strategic and analytical skills and the depth of her business experience.
An alumna of Kobe University, Dr. Okada holds a Ph.D. in business administration and a master of business administration. She is a fellow of the Japan Intellectual Property Association and the Knowledge Management Society of Japan. Additional affiliations include the Academy of Management, USA-Canadan, Inc., Licensing Executives Society International, and the Academy of International Business. In 2005, she was honored by the Japan Patent Office with a Meritorious Service Award. Dr. Okada aspires to have her research published in the U.S. within the next five years.
