George Stoica Recognized for Excellence in Education
George Stoica, Ph.D., has published four books and over 80 research papers
SAINT JOHN, NB, CANADA, December 15, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. George Stoica, Ph.D., Professor at the University of New Brunswick, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
With 24 years of professional experience, Dr. Stoica's expertise includes mathematics, statistics, finance, business and economics. On a daily basis, he teaches courses to students and conducts research in mathematics and its applications. Further, he acts as the University of New Brunswick's mathematical sciences departmental chair. He became involved in his profession through his passion for education and research; he has published four books and over 80 research papers.
In 1994, Dr. Stoica earned a Ph.D. in mathematics and statistics from the University of Paris. A member of the South-Pacific Economic Association, he holds memberships to the American Mathematical Society, European Mathematical Society and the Canadian Mathematical Society. He has received grants from the governments of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain. He intends to continue researching and teaching.
