POMPTON, NJ, December 31, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Deepak Valjibhai Patel, MD, Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at YKR Orthopedics, P.C., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in physical medicine.

Yearning to succeed in his career and having an interest in medicine, Dr. Patel currently specializes in orthopedics and sports medicine. He has 36 years of professional experience and success, which he attributes to the support of his parents, wife and former teachers. As a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery, Dr. Patel treats various sports medicine-related injuries, conducts physical exams and clinical diagnoses, as well as performs operative procedures and arthroscopic surgery.

While working in London, he wrote and published a textbook on knee surgery at the age of 36. In addition to being employed at YKR Orthopedics, P.C., Dr. Patel is a private practitioner in Saddle Brook, N.J. He has been an orthopedic surgeon for 26 years and was trained in the field of orthopedic surgery in India, the United Kingdom and the United States.

In 2002, Dr. Patel completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the New Jersey Medical School. He graduated in 1978 from the Topiwala National Medical College of the University of Bombay with an MD. A former member of the British Orthopedic Association, Dr. Patel became a medical educator in the state of New Jersey in 2008. He will continue expanding his knowledge in the future, as well as travel to other parts of the world. Dr. Patel also aspires to undertake various clinical research projects, publish articles and lecture internationally.
