R. Larry Shelton, Th.D., is a seasoned professor of theology
NEWBURG, OR, November 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- R. Larry Shelton, Th.D., Professor of Theology at George Fox Seminary, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.
With 43 years of professional experience, Dr. Shelton specializes in historical and systematic theology. Since1996, he has been teaching historical and systematic theology, Wesleyan studies, and Christian leadership. Dr. Shelton also teaches church leadership development, theology of the atonement and has a keen interest in Native American religion and justice issues.
He earned a Doctorate of Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and is a member of the North American Institute for Indigenous Theological Studies. Dr. Shelton published a book on the atonement of Christ titled, "Divine Expectations: Interpreting the Atonement for 21st Century Mission." Some of his published works include, "A Wesleyan/Holiness Agenda for the 21st Century," "Perfection, Perfectionism," in the "Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology." He is also the co-editor of "Wesleyan Theological Perspectives," "An Inquiry into Biblical Soteriology," and "The Spirit and the New Age."
