Remarkable Researcher Earns Membership With Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Narayan P. Dhakal to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of his extraordinary effort in the Science and Research Industry.

ST. PAUL, MN, October 17, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Narayan P. Dhakal to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of his extraordinary effort in the Science and Research Industry. As a Research Assistant with the University of Minnesota, Narayan has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

Mr. Dhakal is a contributor to interdisciplinary understanding on balancing environmental conservation with human needs. His particular areas of interest are voluntary enclave resettlement design, community participation in natural resources planning, social forestry, and social, economic and environmental risk assessment of enclave resettlement from protected areas.

During his educational career, Narayan earned an Undergraduate degree in Nepal, a Post Graduate degree in New Zealand, and a Master's degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Minnesota. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Minnesota. In 2000, he was the recipient of an Honor award from His Majesty's the King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev for outstanding volunteer support in local level conservation and development.

As an individual, Mr. Dhakal is morally and ethically sensitive. He has achieved academic excellence in conservation biology and is a scholarly publisher in the human dimensions of conservation. He has published one peer review article as well as 10 formal reports and dissertations. Narayan has two manuscripts to be published in 2010. He is extremely interested in getting involved in conservation research in developing countries to get solutions to their conservation and development problems.
