John Kennedy contributed to starting a police union
BANGOR, PA, October 5, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John Kennedy, Captain, Interim Deputy Chief (Retired) for Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in law enforcement.
Currently retired, Mr. Kennedy served as the captain and interim deputy chief of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. His responsibilities entailed reviewing crime statistics, delegating authority to captains, conducting narcotics investigation, overseeing the patrol division, performing administrative duties and assisting the chief. Prior to joining Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, he worked as a staff sergeant for the United States Air Force and as a police officer for the United States Air Force from 1961 through 1967.
Mr. Kennedy has completed coursework at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and at St. Peter's College. He received an Associate Degree in Business Management and Criminal Justice and is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Knights of Columbus. He achieved an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Air Force. In the future, he intends to write and publish a book.
