Dr. William W. Eaton to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Dr. William W. Eaton's expertise is in psychiatric epidemiology

BALTIMORE, MD, October 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. William W. Eaton, Professor and Chairman of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.

With 37 years of experience in his field, and ten years as a professor and chairman of the Department of Mental Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Eaton has earned a master's degree in psychiatric epidemiology. In his position, he conducts scientific research, manages the department of mental health, and teaches mental health courses to graduate students.

Dr. Eaton serves as the Sylvia and Harold Halpert professor and the chairman of the department of mental health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. This is the only department level unit in a school of public health dedicated to mental health and mental disorders. He also volunteers his time for causes connected to mental health. He became involved in his profession after one of his close friends was diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Dr. Eaton earned a Ph.D., as well as a Master of Science in sociology. These were earned from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1971 and 1973 respectively. He is a member of the American Public Health Association, the American Sociological Association and the Society for Epidemiologic Research. In the future, Dr. Eaton hopes to alleviate suffering caused by mental disorders.
